These are two buildings--Cuddle Up Pavilion and the Arcade--at Glen Echo Park in Maryland, which was once an amusement park that was very popular with locals living in the Washington, D.C. area. It is now run by the National Park Service.

I grew up exploring the natural world along the Ohio River and in the woods on my father's farm in Southern Indiana. While studying environmental planning in the Architecture School at the University of Virginia, I added an interest in architecture to my love of natural landscapes. My work often is an exploration of how these two subjects interact together in natural light. Most of my images are from near my current home of Alexandria, Virginia, my former home of southern Indiana, and travels to various places in the U.S. with occasional foreign travel.
